The Benefits of Hiring A Mobile Personal Trainer
How great would it be if service providers came to us on our schedule? Doctors used to do it back in the early days. Remember The Andy Griffith Show? The doctor made house calls. Today you’d get laughed at if you requested such a thing. What about bankers, or lawyers, or barbers, or accountants? It’s just not going to happen.
Fortunately, there ARE some service providers that DO make house calls. Mobile personal trainers are trainers who come to you – on your schedule. How’s that for convenience? Mobile personal trainers help clients remove the most common obstacles that can derail a quest for fitness. Convenience, equipment, and know-how are all provided, leaving you with the simple task of being where the trainer is scheduled to arrive.
Benefits of Mobile Personal Training:
Personally speaking, I try to be as flexible as possible with my clients. I have clients as early as 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning and well into the evening. Those times seem to work best for the busy moms and hard-core executives. The middle of my day tends to revolve around corporations where I come in over the lunch hours to train interested employees. I also work with seniors and those looking to rehab from injuries. Those clients – because of reduced mobility – greatly appreciate the flexibility of the house call.
Many people just aren’t comfortable going to a gym or working out in a public venue. There may be body-image issues, physical challenges or situations where significant weight loss is desired and privacy is desired. I work with clients in the privacy of their home and help them transition to regular exercise, healthier living and a perhaps even to working out in a group environment.
Also, when learning something new, it’s easy to be self-conscious. I remove the fear of potentially looking foolish, as proper form, technique, routines, etc. are all learned in a one-on-one environment. This helps boost their confidence levels while teaching.
At a gym most trainers will be interrupted by other members or staff with a “quick” question. Some may have to divide their time with other clients. At the very least there are always distractions, crowds, space issues and short attention spans at the large globo-gyms. In a more private setting both the trainer and the client can focus more intently on the task at hand – getting the best results as quickly, safely and enjoyably as possible. In short, we can devote 100% attention on establishing or modifying a program, correcting form, or tweaking nutritional plans.
In addition to the convenience, privacy and personalization factors are the savings in time, gas, and parking. Because of the more private setting and minimization of distractions I also add increased safety as a benefit.
Whatever your situation, if you’re looking for a change from the routine and the crowds, mobile personal training could be the missing element to a successful workout plan.
